One day at a time

Thank you to all that sent supportive messages after my last post. It makes a big difference to get sweet notes on rough days. Thank you.

I'm trying to take a little time each day for some hand stitching.  I'm participating in the Rose Star Block Party with the tutorial from selfsewn.

Days 1 and 2:

days 1 and 2

Day 3:

day 3

Day 4:

day 4

Day 5:

day 5

So...even if it feels like I'm getting nowhere with the phone calls and trying to find appointments, I am making some progress every day.

I am astounded by the construction of this, it looks so cool! The fact that you put in the center last.. whaat?

That's an extraordinarily clever and pretty block! And I'm so sorry to hear about your concerns with Henry - what a bummer. I don't want to sound like I'm offering platitudes, but I do know that when Abby was little, so many of the little boys were a bit slower to get going and this was apparently quite common. Abby's cousin Harry didn't speak until he was 4 and he is doing extraordinarily well now (school captain!). And your Henry has you as his mother and that's the most wonderful advantage he could have because you are smart and sensible and loving. You are in my thoughts - chin up :-)

That's beautiful! I love watching it come together. Good luck with all your appointments and phone calls. I am glad you are taking some time for you to relax, that certainly helps.

My crafting responds to my inner need for relaxation which varies depending on how the rest of the world sits. Never apologise for what you do or don't do - just realise that we all appreciate the lovely things you do, when or if you do them :0)

And lovely progress it is too!! I'm still loving doing these blocks, I'm slow but I do a bit whenever I get a chance!

I love these blocks. I must finish some other things first before I give though.

this looks great. I keep telling myself that I want to start a project with those blocks, but never seem to get to it.
